European Sleeper plans to launch a direct overnight train connecting Amsterdam to Copenhagen and Malmö starting in April 2028.

The Dutch-Belgian railway operator is partnering with German rail company RDC to run its first service into Scandinavia.

The route will link Brussels and Amsterdam directly with both the Danish capital and the southern Swedish city.

Planned schedule and onboard compartments

Under the proposed schedule, the train will depart Brussels at around 19:00, stop in Amsterdam roughly two and a half hours later, and reach Malmö at around 10:00 the next morning.

The full journey is expected to take about 15 hours.

Carriages will offer standard seats as well as couchette and sleeper compartments with beds, with the possibility of luxury compartments containing double beds and private bathrooms.

Full timetable details and ticket prices have not yet been released.
