Athens State Orchestra plays Beethoven, Skalkottas and Shostakovich

Greece's oldest symphony orchestra visits with chief conductor Lukas Karytinos at the helm. The programme spans Beethoven, Skalkottas and Shostakovich, anchoring the sound of three classical traditions. Two guest concerto soloists join the orchestra, and Greek dance features alongside orchestral music, creating a full evening of Greek cultural expression.
