Studio: Milly Scott, a Forgotten Treasure of Dutch Jazz

The Allard Pierson celebrates Milly Scott, the first Black jazz singer in the Netherlands, with a free listening exhibition at the museum. Born in 1933 in Den Helder, Scott recorded prolifically in the 1950s and 1960s but never received the recognition she deserved. Visit the Studio space next to the Espresso Bar to explore her recordings and story.
