All Souls Concert by the Netherlands Bach Society
Early baroque motets by Kuhnau and Buxtehude meet John Cage's silent score inside the historic church, mixing centuries of musical thought into a single evening. The concert pairs pre-Bach German traditions with twentieth-century silence, creating unusual juxtapositions that let both works speak differently than they would alone. It's a concert built on contradiction and surprise.
