New work by three contemporary visual artists, Ima Amu, Sven Driesen and Vincent Goes North, goes on show at this opening of a joint exhibition. A collective show gives visitors the chance to see different practices side by side and to spot where their approaches meet or pull apart. The work is spread across Café de Schelp and the ground floor of A Lab, the creative hub in Overhoeks in Amsterdam Noord where artists, makers and tech start-ups work under one roof. An opening reception is a sociable way to see an exhibition for the first time, with the artists usually on hand and plenty of chances to talk about the work. It is worth the trip across the IJ for anyone interested in the current Amsterdam art scene.
