Choreographer Cheroney Pelupessy brings Draagkracht to the main hall at Theater Bellevue, a dance piece that tells unrecorded stories of Indonesian and Moluccan women through movement and physicality. The piece works without language, using bodies and choreography to communicate experience and history. This is dance as a vehicle for voices often absent from mainstream narratives.
