Der fliegende Holländer reimagined by Lotte de Beer
Lotte de Beer directs a fresh staging of Wagner's Der fliegende Holländer, the maritime opera of the cursed Flying Dutchman, reframing the heroine Senta as an independent artist seeking creative self-expression. The production offers a contemporary perspective on this nineteenth-century masterpiece. This is opera at the intersection of classic repertoire and contemporary interpretation.
