Duo Paredes and Scholtes perform chamber sonatas in a canal house
The afternoon performance features Brahms's Violin Sonata No. 1 in G, Opus 78, alongside Respighi's Violin Sonata in B minor. The program also includes arrangements of Gluck's Melodie from Dance of the Blessed Spirits by Fritz Kreisler and Prokofiev's March from The Love for Three Oranges by Jascha Heifetz. The musicians first met in 2010 during a tour of South America and have since performed widely together as a duo, as members of Trio 258, and at venues such as the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
