Three regional oratorio choirs gather with an orchestral ensemble to perform Dvořák's Stabat mater under conductor Pieter-Jan Olthof. The piece is a sacred meditation on grief and compassion, built on a famous 13th-century Latin poem. This happens only every four years, bringing these choirs together for a massed performance.
