John Coltrane’s centenary reworked by Flat Earth Society Orchestra
Fifteen Belgian players bring big-band rearrangements of classic John Coltrane compositions alongside new writing from Peter Vermeersch, celebrating Coltrane's centenary through contemporary interpretation. The ensemble builds jazz tradition into new contexts, mixing historical reverence with original composition. It's a concert that treats Coltrane's legacy as something to develop rather than simply preserve.
