Nicoline van Harskamp stages a South Indian epic with live actors
Presented as part of the triennial IAWIS conference, this 70-minute English-language performance sets out to stage the Epic of Siri, a vast narrative celebrating the deeds of a woman that is still sung today in South India. The production features a synthetic performer named Prosodia alongside human actresses Mehrnoush Rahmani, Ayisha Siddiqu, and Lidewij Mahler.
