Paesaggi Records is taking its label on a short autumn tour of the Benelux, with three nights of live sets and records chosen with care across Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Brussels. The Amsterdam night opens the run at Transit in Amsterdam-Noord, a new venue that keeps things informal and open. Fellow artists and travellers join the label crew for the evening, which mixes live performance with DJ selections. The sound comes through two large homemade speaker stacks, which says a lot about the hands-on, do-it-yourself approach behind the night. It is a chance to hear a small independent label present its music on its own terms, in a room that suits it. Anyone who likes discovering new labels, or is curious about what is opening up in Noord, will find plenty here.
