Scouting For Girls
English pop-rock band Scouting For Girls bring their sing-along songs to the Melkweg. Formed in Hertfordshire in the mid-2000s and fronted by singer and pianist Roy Stride, the band had a string of UK hits including She's So Lovely, Heartbeat, Elvis Ain't Dead and the chart-topping This Ain't a Love Song. Their piano-led, cheerful sound and big choruses have kept a loyal following for close to two decades. Their gigs are known for the crowd joining in on almost every chorus. The Melkweg, in a former dairy factory near the Leidseplein, has been one of Amsterdam's main music venues since 1970.
