Seventies-inspired Persian indie-funk from Parviz and Helmar
Persian indie-funk music takes the stage through a performance by Parviz, supported by Helmar Salón Sonoro. The music evokes Iran's pre-revolutionary 1970s scene and the programme Rangarang, weaving together psychedelic guitars, detuned synths and DIY aesthetics. Featured work includes the single "Azadeh", which nods to the "Woman Life Freedom" movement, alongside "Sappho's Fragments", which has totalled more than half a million streams.
