Six botanical lectures on the historic Flora Batava
Biologist Kees Boele walks through thousands of historic hand-coloured illustrations from the Flora Batava, an extensive seventeenth-century botanical documentation covering Dutch mosses, mushrooms and regional plant life. The six-lecture series traces centuries of botanical knowledge and artistic observation. This is a chance to explore the intersection of science, art and natural history through historic material.
