Step back to the 1930s jazz era at ZOJazz Stage
Choreographer Marike Hetjes guides audiences through the Golden Age of the 1930s, when music and movement fused into pure performance. The afternoon delves into how tap dance emerged at the intersection of different cultures and evolved into an art form driven by rhythm, improvisation, and personality. Stories and unique visual material accompany the music to show the inseparable link between jazz and tap.
