Allard Pierson’s theater collection comes alive in a new exhibition exploring how stage costume and role-play reshape identity. Three threads weave through it: crossdressing in performance history, the Slingelandt theater, and the life of revue star Louisette. Contemporary photographer Diana Blok adds a modern layer, capturing actors costumed as their dream roles of the opposite sex. Running July 4–November 20. Admission with museum ticket.
