Turkish professionals working in Amsterdam's technology sector gather in the Vondelpark for an informal autumn get-together. Turkish Tech Amsterdam brings together engineers, designers, founders and others with Turkish roots who have made the city their working home. The gathering mixes networking with a social, picnic-style afternoon, a relaxed way to meet peers and swap experiences of the local tech scene. Amsterdam has become a major European base for tech companies and start-ups, and communities like this help newcomers find their feet. The Vondelpark, the city's best-known park, is an easy and pleasant place to meet. Both new arrivals and people who have lived here for years should find familiar faces and useful contacts.
