Amsterdam nightclub Tilla Tec has officially announced its final closing weekend, marking the end of its run in the De Baarsjes neighborhood.
The venue will host its closing event from Friday, November 6 to Sunday, November 11, with tickets currently on sale for the final weekend from November 9 to 11.
A temporary location coming to an end
Tilla Tec operates inside the former LTS school building on Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat, a space previously occupied for eight years by the well-known club De School.
In addition to its club nights, the venue functions as a restaurant, cafe, and exhibition space. Its programming focuses heavily on house and techno music, alongside events tailored for the queer community and people of color.
Housing planned for the site
The club was always intended to be temporary, as the City of Amsterdam has long planned to redevelop the site for new housing.
While the exact end date for the venue remained unclear for months, a recent announcement on social media confirmed that operations will wrap up permanently in November.
