> A travelling Sunday food market in Park Frankendael, the Amstelpark and the Amsterdamse Bos. Dates and what to eat.

## What the Pure Markt is

The Pure Markt is a travelling Sunday market for food and drink, based in Amsterdam.

Many of the traders make what they sell: they grow, bake or cook it themselves.

About 70% of the stalls are food and the rest are design, vintage and gifts.

## It moves, so check the dates

The market has three regular green, car-free locations in Amsterdam.

It is in Park Frankendael in Oost on the last Sunday of the month, and in the Amstelpark on the second Sunday of the month, with exceptions listed in its agenda.

It also visits the Amsterdamse Bos on various Sundays.

It is also going indoors, to the Centrale Markthal, on Sunday 22 November 2026 from 12:00 to 19:00.

Bad weather can cancel a market: the Frankendael edition of 25 October 2026 was called off, so check the agenda on the day.

## What to eat and buy

You can try Dutch cheese, vegetarian gyros, Japanese curry, American pie or freshly opened oysters, with an organic beer, coffee or wine.

There are fresh products to take home too, and gifts.

## Tips for your visit

A picnic on the grass is part of the idea.

Children can ride the market’s solar powered merry-go-round.

The market’s website is mostly in Dutch, but its English page explains the basics.
