Local business leaders in Zandvoort believe the international exposure from hosting the Dutch Grand Prix will continue to support the area’s economy long after the current race contract ends.
Ahead of the upcoming provisional final edition of the Formula 1 event, representatives from the local business community noted that the race has permanently placed the coastal resort on the global map.
Economic impact across the region
Municipal calculations following earlier editions showed that a single race weekend generates roughly 26 million euros for Zandvoort itself while supporting 135 full-time jobs.
The broader economic benefits extend significantly across the surrounding region, including nearby hospitality and transportation sectors in North Holland.
Business owners report that tourists routinely visit the town throughout the year simply because they recognized the location from global racing broadcasts.
Shifting focus to corporate events
To prepare for the departure of Formula 1, local hotels, restaurants, and beach pavilions plan to target corporate gatherings and business travel more aggressively.
Hospitality groups have already reported a steady rise in inquiries from companies looking to host conferences and private events in the seaside town.
The venue itself will also remain active, with other major motorsport fixtures such as Formula E scheduled to run at the track in coming seasons.
