Blue Health Intelligence, an Amsterdam startup offering preventive health checks, has raised €3.4 million to expand abroad and develop its products.
Knop Investments led the round, with former Philips executive Jeroen Tas and influencer Anna Nooshin among the other backers.
The company had raised more than €1.1 million before this.
A one-hour check for €299
Founded in 2025 by Onno Huyghe, formerly of Swapfiets and Tibber, and physician Leanne Verdonck, the company sells a one-hour health check for €299.
It says the check uses hundreds of data points to assess the heart and blood vessels, metabolism, and liver and kidney function.
Its own medical staff run the tests, a doctor discusses the results straight away, and they then appear in the Blue app.
More than 2,000 people have booked a check at its location on the Prinsengracht, which its lead investor says is fully booked through November.
Paris or Milan next
Huyghe noted that regular health checks are already standard in Japan, Germany and the UK, but not yet in the Netherlands.
The company expects to open in Paris or Milan in the first half of 2027.
It helps to understand how healthcare in the Netherlands is organised.
