Blue Health Intelligence, a preventive health startup based in Amsterdam, has raised €3.4 million to expand internationally and develop its products further.
Knop Investments led the round.
Other backers include Jeroen Tas, former Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Philips, and Dutch lifestyle influencer Anna Nooshin.
A one-hour check for €299
Onno Huyghe, formerly of Swapfiets and Tibber, founded the company in 2025 with physician Leanne Verdonck.
It sells a health check that takes one hour and costs €299.
The company says each check uses hundreds of data points to assess heart and blood vessel health, metabolism, and liver and kidney function.
Its own medical staff and doctors carry out all the tests on site.
A doctor goes through the results straight afterwards, and they are then uploaded to the Blue app.
More than 2,000 people have booked a check at its location on the Prinsengracht.
According to its lead investor, the location is fully booked through November.
Paris or Milan next
Huyghe said regular health checks are already part of the healthcare system in Japan, Germany and the UK, “but unfortunately that is not yet the case in the Netherlands.” The company expects to open in Paris or Milan in the first half of 2027.
Before this round it had raised more than €1.1 million.
Huyghe’s point that regular check-ups are not yet routine here is easier to weigh once you understand how healthcare in the Netherlands is organised.
