Amsterdam singer Roxy Dekker will perform a solo concert at the Johan Cruijff Arena next year, making her the first Dutch woman to headline the stadium alone.
The announcement coincides with a run of four sold-out shows this week at the adjacent Ziggo Dome, which represent her largest performances to date.
Rapid rise to stadium stages
The 21-year-old from Amsterdam-Zuid broke through in 2023 with her debut track Anne-Fleur vakantie. Within a year and a half, she played Paradiso and won an Edison award.
Dekker described the rapid progression of her career as bizarre, noting how quickly the milestones arrived following her initial release.
Addressing concerns about hosting a major concert on the stadium pitch during the football season, Dekker noted that venue officials would have denied the booking if preserving the grass were not possible.
