When is King's Day 2027 in Amsterdam?
King's Day 2027 is on Tuesday 27 April, and King's Night is the evening before, Monday 26 April, according to the City of Amsterdam. The King himself celebrates in Lelystad that year, says the Royal House.
How do I get around Amsterdam on King's Day?
Come by train and walk: on past King's Days trams and buses stopped at the edge of the city centre and the centre was closed to cars from 07.30, according to the city's official visitor guide. That guide was last updated in April 2025, so check it again before the day.
When is Pride Amsterdam 2027?
Pride Amsterdam 2027 runs from 31 July to 8 August 2027. The Canal Parade sails on Saturday 7 August 2027, according to Pride Amsterdam.
Can I set off fireworks in Amsterdam on New Year's Eve?
No. Since 1 August 2026 a national ban covers all consumer fireworks except the lightest category, F1, such as sparklers, and the City of Amsterdam says that applies at New Year too. The city lists a free light and laser show, Electric Fireworks, on Museumplein on 31 December 2026.
