Westergas and Stadsdeel West are hosting the third edition of Westerdag on Sunday, 30 August, offering a free programme for residents of Amsterdam-West.
Activities begin at 11:30 on the Stenenplein with presentations from local initiatives and neighbourhood groups.
Visitors can take part in a pizza delivery competition at Bar Coco, view Amsterdam in Motion scale models, or enter a draw to win ice cream from IJscuypje.
Art, sports, and family activities
The daytime schedule includes chess with Schaakvereniging Amsterdam-West, board games at TonTon Club, and Circus Andersom presenting the Aarde Reisbureau.
Art installations feature a sculpture route by Dennis Knijnenburg and a display of paintings by Dilruba Tayfun along a circular jetty, accompanied by a saxophone performance.
The park will also host boxing, DJ music at RadioRadio, salsa dancing at Westweelde, theatre workshops at De Krakeling, and korfball sessions with Sporting West.
Two designated walking routes will lead visitors through the grounds, highlighting community meeting points and scenic locations across the park.
Evening show at Gashouder
The festival concludes with an evening programme inside the Gashouder starting at 21:30.
The final performance will combine live music with projected nature visuals.
