Cafe Voorbeeld is a neighbourhood cafe on a quiet corner of the Jordaan, open since 2016. Mornings start with coffee roasted in Amsterdam Noord and bread from the bakery two doors down.
On the menu
Lunch is soups, salads and toasted sandwiches, made to order. On Friday and Saturday evenings the kitchen stays open for small plates and natural wine. See what is new this autumn.

We are looking for a friendly barista who enjoys a busy weekend. You will be part of a small team of five, behind the bar on Saturdays and Sundays and on two weekdays.
What you will do
- Make espresso, flat whites and filter coffee with beans from our roaster in Amsterdam Noord
- Welcome guests, take orders and help at the counter during the Sunday jazz brunch
- Keep the bar clean and help open or close the cafe
Who you are
- Friendly and calm when it gets busy
- You speak English; Dutch is a plus
- Experience with espresso machines is a plus, but we will train you
What we offer
- A contract for 24 hours a week, with a fixed schedule two weeks ahead
- Barista training with our roaster

The autumn dishes are served at lunch from Tuesday to Sunday, next to the regular soups, salads and toasties. Vegan and gluten-free options are marked on the menu.
