Het Parool is looking for Americans who live in or around Amsterdam to join a panel on the US midterm elections, which take place on Tuesday 3 November.

The Amsterdam newspaper wants to hear how they view the vote, and panel members must be willing to be photographed.

What the panel will discuss

One question is whether they hope the Democrats win control of either chamber of Congress, or would rather the Republicans keep their majorities.

Panel members will also be asked which direction they think the country should take.

Another topic is how they talk about the elections with family and friends.

How to take part

Anyone interested can send a short email to oproep@parool.nl saying who they are and how they view the elections.

Applicants should include their first and last name and the city or town where they live.

The paper says it especially wants to hear from voters with a wide range of political views.
