The water tower of the former Zuidergasfabriek gasworks in Amsterdam’s Bella Vistapark is looking for a business to move in.
Stadsherstel bought the monumental tower from the municipality of Amsterdam at the start of this year.
Once the restoration is complete, the tower will be offered for rent.
How the tenant will be chosen
Stadsherstel says it wants an entrepreneur who fits in with Bella Vistapark, where the tower stands.
The lease will go to the party that best matches both the city’s starting points for the building and Stadsherstel’s own selection criteria.
The city’s starting points are set out in a document called the Bouwenvelop, or building envelope.
Requesting the documents
Stadsherstel’s criteria are described in a separate programme of requirements and registration brochure.
Anyone interested in running a business in the tower can request both documents by emailing watertoren@stadsherstelamsterdam.nl.
If running a business in the Bella Vistapark water tower sounds tempting, it may help to read up on starting a company in Amsterdam first.
