The TCS Amsterdam Marathon takes over the city on Sunday 18 October, with the full marathon starting at the Olympic Stadium at 09:00 and the half marathon at 13:20.
Around 65,000 runners take part across the weekend, including Saturday’s 7.5K and Kids Run.
Roads closed on Sunday
The area between Stadionweg and Amstelveenseweg is closed from 06:00 to 19:00, and Amstelveenseweg is shut as far as the Overtoom for the same hours.
The Stadhouderskade area is closed from 07:00 to 18:00, the Zuidas from 08:00 to 13:00 and the Zeeburgerdijk area from 10:15 to 19:00.
The organisers say these times may shift on the day.
Controlled crossing points let pedestrians and cyclists cross the route at Stadhouderskade, Ferdinand Bolstraat, Middenweg, Alexanderplein, Borneostraat and Apollolaan.
Where to watch
The Vondelpark is a favourite spot, because marathon runners pass it twice, at 2 km and again at 40 km.
On the Stadhouderskade they run through the Rijksmuseum passage at 4 km and come back at 38 km, close to metro Vijzelgracht.
From 14 km the route follows the Amstel, and Amstel Business Park brings music and crowds between 26 and 31 km.
The finish in the Olympic Stadium closes at 17:00, and its covered stands are open to spectators.
