French investment bank Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank is opening an office in Amsterdam to expand its presence across the Benelux region.
The bank, a subsidiary of Crédit Agricole, pointed to strong opportunities in the Dutch market driven by activity in energy, infrastructure, and technology.
Targeting Dutch and international clients
The Amsterdam location will serve both domestic businesses and international companies running operations in the Netherlands.
Crédit Agricole CIB stated that Dutch companies are undertaking some of the most ambitious investment programs in Europe, making a local physical base important for managing client relationships.
The bank also noted that working in the Dutch language will help build deeper connections with clients. Erik Brommer serves as the representative for the institution in the Netherlands.
Global operations and services
Crédit Agricole CIB operates across more than 35 countries and employs 10,776 people worldwide.
Its corporate services cover financing, advisory work on initial public offerings and mergers and acquisitions, and the issuance of bonds for sustainable projects.
