Nemo Science Museum is running an interactive AI Challenge designed to teach visitors how to tell real images from artificial creations. The demonstration asks participants to unmask artificial infiltrators hiding in a group of online gamers named Kai, Milan, Zoë, Naomi, Yuri, and Renske.
The session guides visitors through the mechanics of deepfakes, providing practical tips on spotting fake profiles, photos, and videos both during the museum presentation and at home.

As artificial intelligence evolves, the University of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Forensic Institute are developing countermeasures to identify generated media.
One featured method is blood flow detection, an analysis that examines subtle skin colour variations to verify whether blood is actually circulating through a person on screen.
The AI Challenge is aimed at visitors aged eight and older. It takes place in the second-floor Auditorium at Nemo from 10 to 25 October during the autumn school holidays.
