The most expensive house in Amsterdam is for sale, with an asking price of €20 million.
The detached villa is at Oranje Nassaulaan 24, in the Willemsparkbuurt in Amsterdam-Zuid.
A large garden at the back looks out over the Vondelpark.
Five floors and parking for six cars
The house has five floors, six bedrooms and five bathrooms, with parking for six cars.
According to the sales listing on Funda, it has 560 square metres of living space plus another 141 square metres of indoor space.
The plot covers 977 square metres in total.
That brings the asking price to almost €36,000 per square metre.
Second most expensive home
The city’s second most expensive home costs many millions less.
That house, on the Zuidelijke Wandelweg in the Rijnbuurt, is listed on Funda for €12.75 million.
Expected sale
It is not yet clear whether a buyer will pay the full €20 million.
The estate agent told Quote magazine he expects to sell the villa within two to three months.
