Huize Frankendael on Middenweg is opening its historic rooms for salon dinners two evenings a week. Guests can book for Thursday or Friday nights to eat in the eighteenth-century salons of the monumental estate.
The kitchen serves a set four-course menu built around sustainably produced seasonal ingredients. Wine pairings are available with the meal, and visitors must submit any dietary requirements in advance.
The last surviving country house in Watergraafsmeer
The estate dates to the seventeenth century, when the drained Watergraafsmeer became a popular location for wealthy Amsterdammers building summer retreats. Frankendael is the only country estate in the area that has survived into the present day.
Bookings are handled directly through Huize Frankendael by email or telephone. Reservations will pause over the winter holidays, with no dinners held from 21 December until 10 January.
