Airlines raise alarm over Schiphol entry system

Carriers have warned again about disruptions caused by the malfunctioning entry system. Schiphol continues to use an emergency override to skip biometric registration during peak travel times.

Airlines have once again sounded the alarm over problems with the new Entry/Exit System (EES).

Technical malfunctions in the border check system continue to cause operational issues for carriers.

Schiphol is still relying on an emergency measure to manage the flow of travellers. Under this procedure, biometric registration is skipped during peak hours to keep passenger queues moving.
