Amsterdam-based software startup Promptwatch has secured six million euros in seed funding to expand its operations into the United States.
The investment round was led by the Berlin venture capital firm Seed + Speed Ventures, with additional participation from Austria’s Blum Ventures and Dutch investor Arches Capital.
Founded just a year ago, the company has developed software designed to help businesses manage and improve their visibility within AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude.
Expanding into the American market
With the new capital, Promptwatch has recently opened an office in New York to establish a physical footprint in North America.
The company reports that its platform now serves nearly 2,000 users globally, including major technology clients such as Duolingo and Fireflies.
The business reached two million euros in annual recurring revenue this past May, reflecting rapid adoption among companies looking to adapt to changing search habits.
Adapting to AI search engines
Unlike traditional search engines like Google, AI platforms process and retrieve information using continuously updating models, changing how brands need to maintain online relevance.
Company leadership notes that the market for AI search optimization is still in its early stages, with only a small number of direct competitors globally.
Advice from the startup highlights that businesses must publish fresh content far more frequently than before, as static articles no longer generate long-term traffic in AI systems.
Growth in the local tech sector
The successful funding round reflects a broader pattern of international investment flowing into early-stage Dutch technology companies.
Amsterdam continues to attract venture capital for specialized software solutions, particularly as businesses adapt to new automated tools and artificial intelligence platforms.
Promptwatch will use its expanded team in New York and Amsterdam to scale its engineering capabilities and reach broader corporate markets over the coming year.
