The Embassy of the Free Mind is a unique museum, library, and cultural platform in Amsterdam dedicated to free thinking, philosophy, and esoteric wisdom. It houses the UNESCO-recognized Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica (The Ritman Library), which features a vast collection of over 25,000 rare and ancient books spanning alchemy, mysticism, and Hermeticism.

Located on the Keizersgracht 123, the institution operates out of the “House with the Heads” (Huis met de Hoofden), a beautifully preserved 17th-century canal house designed in 1622. Visitors can explore exhibitions of rare manuscripts, relax in an alchemical flower garden, and enjoy an on-site café.
