Paint a contemporary still life in impressionist style

Study brushwork across the permanent galleries before heading to the studio to paint modern scenes using impressionist techniques. Gallery study introduces participants to brushwork and color use across the permanent collection. The studio session then applies these observations to painting modern subjects rather than historical ones. Impressionist technique emphasizes light, color, and visible brushstrokes over photorealistic detail. Participants engage with both art historical education and hands-on artistic practice.
