Zuidas-APR2018-2

Law firm Baker McKenzie will move its Amsterdam headquarters to The Canyon, a new development on the Zuidas. The relocation is scheduled for April 2030 following a lease signed with real estate developer Zadelhoff.

The move marks the end of the firm’s stay at Baker House, which has served as its local base since 2006. Baker McKenzie has operated in the Netherlands for more than 50 years.

A mixed-use complex in Ravel

The Canyon forms part of The Harmony, a mixed-use project covering roughly 35,000 square metres in the Ravel district. The development consists of two buildings, The Canyon and The Coast, containing a combination of offices, homes, and amenities.

The building design incorporates an auditorium for events and meetings, as well as interior gardens, green façades, and planted rooftops planned alongside an ecologist and landscape architect. Developers are targeting a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating for the site.
