We want everything on Essentially Amsterdam to be accurate: the news, the event listings, the guides and the business directory. When we get something wrong, we fix it.
How to report a mistake
Email info(at)essentiallyamsterdam.com with a link to the page and a short description of what is wrong. A source for the correct information helps us act quickly. You can find all our contact details on the contact page.
What we do
- Factual errors in an article, such as a wrong name, number, date or place, are corrected on the page as soon as we have checked them.
- Event listings with a wrong date, time or venue are corrected against the organiser’s own page, or removed if the event is not taking place.
- Guides are revised when rules, prices or opening details change, and show the date they were last updated.
- Directory listings are updated when a business or a reader tells us something has changed.
- Developing stories: when a news story moves on after we publish it, we write a follow-up article rather than quietly rewriting the original.
Corrections are handled by the editor, Douglas Heingartner.
