The TCS Amsterdam Marathon runs on Sunday 18 October, with shorter races, including the Kids Run, on Saturday 17 October.
On race day, roads around Stadionweg, Amstelveenseweg, Stadhouderskade, Zuidas and several eastern neighbourhoods close at staggered times between 6.00 and 19.00, though the times are estimates.
Travel by car and public transport
Work on the A10 South adds to the disruption, and there is no parking at the Olympisch Stadion on Sunday 18 October.
Alternatives include Schinkel business park, RAI Parking, P+R ArenA and P+R Noord, with onward travel by public transport.
Cars can cross the course until 45 minutes before the first runner arrives, and roads reopen about 30 minutes after the last.
Some buses and trams run to adjusted timetables, and Amstelveenseweg metro station closes from 13.00 to 18.00, so use Amsterdam Zuid instead.
Saturday closures and cycling
On Saturday 17 October, Stadionweg, Beethovenstraat and nearby streets close from 10.00 to 17.00, and Amstelveenseweg and its surroundings from 11.00 to 17.00.
There is bike parking by the Na-Druk-Geluk-Brug on the IJsbaanpad side and a Kiss & Ride at Jachthavenweg.
