An Amsterdam retail employee has reached millions of viewers online after posting short video clips filmed during her break time at work.
Aïsha Vis, a 22-year-old dance student who works part-time at a local branch of drugstore chain Kruidvat, recorded the 15-second routine while wearing her red work uniform.
Breaktime routine reaches millions
The video was filmed casually in the store’s back room using a smartphone rested on boxes and storage baskets.
Despite taking only one take to record without prior rehearsal, the short clip accumulated 26 million views in a matter of days.
Vis explained that she simply set up her camera to pass the time during a routine 15-minute break before returning to restock shelves.
Reactions and employer response
The sudden visibility has led to international recognition, with people stopping her in public spaces including the metro in Amsterdam and as far away as Paris.
Employees from other retail chains have even posted tongue-in-cheek responses online, while viewers frequently comment on her impressive coordination during store downtime.
The store management raised no objections to the videos, provided they do not interfere with regular working hours or customer service.
A spokesperson for the retail company confirmed that the videos were posted on her own initiative, praising her creativity and note-worthy talent.
Future plans beyond retail
Although the company’s social media team recently reached out for a joint project, Vis says she has no plans to become a full-time influencer.
She remains focused on finishing her studies and pursuing a career as a professional dancer and choreographer.
For now, she plans to keep her part-time job to cover rent and living expenses while continuing to post occasional videos when she feels inspired.
