The ferry landing at NDSM-werf is scheduled for renovation between 3 November 2025 and 27 February 2026. The section of the quay where the boats dock will be replaced.
Ferries will continue to run during the project, but at a lower frequency. With only one berth available at the site throughout the work, the timetable must be scaled back.
Ferry network adjustments
Passenger numbers across the IJ ferry routes have been climbing by about 10% each year, creating increasingly crowded conditions at stops. Plans are underway to improve access across the network.
The late-night Westveer connection via Pontsteiger has also been suspended for the time being. Direct night services between Central Station and NDSM continue to run until 02:05 on Sunday through Thursday, and until 03:22 on Friday and Saturday nights.
