A unusual item has appeared on the Dutch online marketplace Marktplaats, where a seller based in Oosterhout is asking €55,000 for a heavily modified 2008 BMW 550i.
The car is covered in realistic bullet holes and features a cracked windshield, though it has only one kilometer recorded on its odometer.
A prop car with Hollywood history
According to the online listing, the vehicle was used as a official prop car during the production of the 2024 action-comedy film Wolfs, starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt.
Rather than actual ballistic damage, the vehicle’s bodywork was custom-painted with hundreds of false bullet impacts for a shootout scene, while the windshield was specially treated to simulate destruction.
Built by film vehicle specialists
The modification work is attributed to Dennis McCarthy, a Los Angeles vehicle coordinator whose company, Vehicle Effects, has designed cars for major film franchises including the Fast & Furious series.
The current owner states that the car was acquired after filming finished and kept in a private collection until being listed for sale in late July.
