No trains will run to or from Amsterdam Centraal on Saturday 3 October due to major renovation work. ProRail is widening the station platforms and staircases.
Disruption will continue through the rest of the weekend and into the start of the week. Fewer trains will run on Sunday 4 October and Monday 5 October.
Alternative routes and night buses
Night train services between Schiphol Airport and Centraal Station will be replaced by buses during the nights of 2 to 3 October and 3 to 4 October. The night train will instead run from Schiphol Airport to Utrecht Centraal via Bijlmer Arena.
Passengers are advised to use the metro where possible and check travel information before setting out.
Crowds expected on Monday
Train traffic will remain limited on Sunday 4 October. On Monday 5 October, fewer trains will operate on several routes.
NS has warned passengers to expect heavy crowding during the Monday morning rush hour.
